About the Role
Title: Systems Engineer (MSAD) and Systems Engineer Test
Headcount: 4 openings (2 Systems Engineer MSAD, 2 Systems Engineer Test; level 3 and level 4)
Location: Folsom, CA / Onsite
Contract: 12-month contract-to-hire; Start: ASAP (2026-09-22)
Interview Process: Multi-step technical interview with hiring manager; Feedback SLA: Ad-hoc (next review meeting first week of October 2026)

Job Duties:
- Perform rocket motor testing including hot fire tests, integration, and hot fire assist.
- Develop software for test scripts and operate controls during hot fire test ignition.
- Conduct systems engineering and model development for MSAT.
Must Haves:
- 4 to 10 years of experience for level 4 roles with strategic program-level customer interactions
- 4 to 7 years of experience for level 3 roles
- Strong MATLAB proficiency, simulation, coding, and model development experience
- Background in solid rocket motor industry and physics-based modeling
- Experience with actuator testing and test script software development
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with Git repositories or Tortoise SVN
Disqualifiers:
- Purely commercial development background lacking DOD/defense industry rigor
- NASA and GMC liquid development experience
- Liquid rocket system performance backgrounds
- Non-solid rocket motor physics-based modeling
