Title: EMI/EMC Design Engineer

Headcount: 3

Location: San Jose, CA / On-site preferred with potential hybrid options

Contract: Standard contract with extension options; Start: As soon as a good candidate is found

Interview Process: Two 45-minute rounds with engineering team; Feedback SLA: Within 2 days

Job Duties (6-10 bullets):

- Perform dedicated EMI/EMC design work across all product cycles

- Review mechanical designs to provide feedback on bonding and grounding

- Conduct layout reviews and filter design mechanisms

- Provide guidance to the team on how things should be integrated

- Perform schematic reviews and guide system integration

- Participate in lab troubleshooting when failures are observed

Must Haves (hard gates; 6-12 bullets, all testable/quantified):

- Dedicated EMI/EMC design experience (sole job function dedicated to EMI/EMC rather than general test or electrical engineering)

- Experience with MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464 standards

- Specific exposure and experience with MIL-STD-4604 and MIL-STD-4604D standards

- Experience with higher system platform exposure rather than just subsystem-level standards

- Ability to support on-site presence in San Jose, CA

Nice to Haves (5-10 bullets):

- Experience with ANSYS or CST simulation tools

- Experience with LTspice

- Background in simulation-driven EMI/EMC analysis

Disqualifiers (3-6 bullets):

- Main role focused purely on test execution rather than dedicated EMI/EMC design work
