Title: ECAD Designer
Headcount: 1
Location: Phoenix, AZ / Remote
Contract: Contract-to-hire with 90-day conversion window; Start: 2026-10-30
Interview Process: Initial interview with HM, technical lead, and recruiter; panel interview if multiple finalists.; Feedback SLA: Biweekly

End Product:
- Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs for new customer-facing programs requiring advanced layout capabilities
Tech/Domain Environment:
- Expedition VX 25/4 or newer
- DDR4 and DDR5 routing
- PCB fabrication stackup and lamination cycles
Job Duties:
- Perform physical board layout and part placement from scratch
- Set up and route DDR4 and DDR5 constraints end-to-end
- Interface with mechanical team for board outlines and keepouts
- Optimize board stackup and via structures to reduce lamination cycles and cost
- Review fabrication details and ensure buildable designs
Must Haves:
- Expedition VX 25/4 or newer (hands-on experience in production)
- DDR4/5 constraint setup and routing (end-to-end ownership)
- PCB fabrication knowledge (board stackup, via structures, lamination cycles)
Nice to Haves:
- Valor DFM/NPI experience
- Drawing Editor familiarity
- Full board ownership from scratch (parts placement through DDR routing)
Disqualifiers:
- Lacks hands-on Expedition experience in production
- Only academic or proof-of-concept exposure to high-speed signals or DDR routing
- Relies on others for constraint setup and board placement
