- 1st shift is 5 AM - 1 PM, Mon - Fri;
- 2nd shift is 1 PM - 9 PM, Mon -Fri;
- 3rd shift is 9 PM - 5 AM, Sun night - Fri morning
Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Test Engineer to support on-site, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift test bench operations for the Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) of a production S pace Payload program
- executing test scripts for the verification of Software, Hardware, and System requirements for applications in Space.
- Understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) systems, especially RADAR, SIGINT, or COMMS;
- programming and scripting skills
- working knowledge of RF test equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, etc.) is desired.
- BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math); or HS diploma
- at least 4 years of relevant military experience with sensor systems, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance, or military control room console operator; or defense industry work experience with sensor systems, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RADAR and/or ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) integration and test
- Experience with Space Payload or Space Vehicle (Satellite) integration and test in a clean room environment
- Programming in C or MATLAB for understanding and editing/improving existing code
- Scripting in Python or Tcl for understanding and editing/improving existing scripts
- Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket
