- Prepare raw data for Tableau consumption.
- Establish connections to data sources.
- Create dimensions, measures, and calculated fields.
- Perform data modeling using Tableau Desktop.
- Develop dashboards and reports on Tableau Desktop and Server.
- Verify data accuracy with data engineers and analysts.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve data-related issues.
- Maintain and enhance existing Tableau dashboards.
- Generate workbooks and hyper extracts in Tableau Desktop.
- Publish workbooks to Development and Production sites.
- Conduct unit testing prior to production implementation.
- Monitor usage reports to optimize performance.
- Provide Tier-1 support for Tableau-related issues. Must Haves:
- 2+ years of Tableau Desktop 2021.1 experience in production, developed 10+ dashboards.
- 2+ years of Tableau Server 2021.1 experience in production, managed 5+ user roles.
- 2+ years of SQL experience in production, executed 100+ queries weekly.
- Experience with data modeling in Tableau Desktop, created 5+ complex models.
- Proven ability to publish workbooks to Tableau Production, completed 10+ releases.
- Experience with data quality checks, maintained 99% data accuracy in dashboards. Nice to Haves:
- Tableau Server administration experience, managed 50+ users.
- Scripting with Tableau REST API, automated 5+ processes.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, participated in 3+ sprints.
- Experience with data-catalog tools like Collibra, utilized in 2+ projects.
- Exposure to higher education or research environments, worked in 1+ projects. Data/Perf Targets:
- Maintain dashboard load times under 2 seconds.
