Job Duties:
- Perform structural engineering tasks for missile and launch vehicle systems.
- Generate safety factors for various structural failure modes.
- Provide guidance on preliminary and final designs of structures.
- Produce engineering documentation and technical reports.
- Determine test levels and instrumentation for flight structures.
- Compile and interpret technical data from tests and reports.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of engineering experience or Master's with 3 years in production.
- Strong structural analysis background with documented experience.
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis and structural mechanics in production.
- Experience with FEMAP and NX NASTRAN in production on projects.
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Nice to Haves:
- MS or PhD in a related field.
- Experience with high performance flight structures on projects.
- Familiarity with ANSYS or ABAQUS in production.
- Expertise in composite structures and fracture mechanics.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
Disqualifiers:
- No experience in structural analysis of missile or launch vehicle systems
- Only academic experience with FEMAP or NX NASTRAN
- No ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.
